How to file a complaint
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology. Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.

If you ever need support that falls outside my training or scope of practice, I’ll be transparent with you and provide referrals to clinicians who can better meet those needs.
If you’re working with me and another provider, my ethical guidelines require that I consult with your other provider as needed. This coordination only happens with your written permission, so I’ll ask you to sign a Release of Information if applicable.
You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate as required by the No Surprises Act of 2022. I also ask that clients keep an active credit or debit card on file in the secure client portal to manage billing efficiently.
If you’d like a copy of your clinical record, please submit the request in writing. You can contact me directly or email lisaarcelpc@gmail.com. Your record belongs to you, I’m responsible for keeping it secure. Copies can be requested at any time, though an administrative fee may apply.
If you need your records sent to another provider, just reach out and I’ll provide a Release of Information form to authorize that transfer.
